First Year BSc Fashion Management and Communication student at NWSD, Karla Bosch, has been requested to blog about the Icon range at Young Designers Emporium (YDE) on a reular basis. Karla started her blog, ikarlabosch.blogspot.com, towards the end of February 2012 because being a fashion student, singe.r and model, she felt as though this would be a great step to starting her fashion future. A motivational lecturer and her fellow students assisted her taking this invaluable step.

Ilze Delport WINS Rotary Fashion Design Award.

Ilze Delport, a NWSD graduate, won the Rotary Young Designer of the year 2012 Fashion Show which was held on 3rd March 2012.
The Rotary Clu.b of Vanderbijlpark launched this event as a fundraiser to help those in need. The annual event includes performances by famou.s local artists and a Fashion Show.
In order to be a winner like Ilze, one needed to submit the necessary entry forms, storyboards, brief pictorial description with a few convincing words of what your design looks like on a A3 or A4 board.
The theme for this year's Fashion Show was, "The Fragrance of Flowers".
In order to complete a breathtaking, award winning collectio.n, Ilze got her inspiration from "The wonders of Nature".
