Taking the gap?

Taking a gap year or bridging year, refers to taking a year off to do something else.  Many school leavers take a gap year as to gain a more international view of the world, making  career choices more realistic.

The North West School of Design gap year programmes will give you a strong foundation for entrepreneurial and creative thinking.

At North West School of Design you have the choice to take up core modules and compile your own gap year programmes from all of our part time courses, workshops and short courses.  There are over 25 courses to select from that will give you life experience and give you a better understanding of the creative industries.

The gap year starts the first week in February and ends in November every year.  Most of the classes are presented in the evenings, enabling the students to be employed whilst obtaining foundation based training.

With the NWSD gap year programmes, you can enrich the world with your creativity.  For more info, visit us on
